Glazing function and characteristics in printing

the function and purpose of glazing is to add a protective layer on the paper after printing. The purpose is to protect the image from being scratched and increase the wear resistance of the print. Because the surface is treated by the glazing process, the bright surface will produce gloss on the whole print, and the foggy surface will produce a protective film of fog. Both of them increase the water resistance of the print from moisture Strengthen the paper

after using bright glazing material or fog extinction material, the beauty of the printed matter can be increased. After bright glazing, the printed matter can have a high degree of clarity and luster, while the fog glazing has no bright and dazzling feeling, and is loyal to the printed color. "Poster" is a printed media that transmits a large amount of information to the public. The glazing method of expression has changed the visual appeal of the poster, increased its visual effect, attracted more attention, and protected the poster from being wet by rain. It undoubtedly provides a strong impetus to the development of all industries, prevents scratches, and improves the value of the poster

various polishing methods and characteristics

(I) various polishing methods polishing methods can be divided into bright surface polishing and fog surface polishing. There are:

(1) bright oil: the operation mode of bright oil is to use the printing machine and coating machine equipment for one-time printing, and it can also be used for the second polishing without connecting. Just like using printing ink, special equipment and operating skills are not required. Its advantages are easy to operate and low cost, but its disadvantages will cause air pollution, odor, and the printed matter is prone to yellowing over time

(2) PVA glazing: use a coater and a high-temperature calender to bake with high heat to volatilize the solvent and harden PVA. Its advantage is that the cost is relatively low, and toxic substances such as formaldehyde will be released during the drying process, which will do great harm to the health of operators

(3) adhesive film bonding: apply adhesive to PP bright surface, PP fog surface, rigid PVC, pet and other adhesive films, and then press them with printed matter after drying. The gloss and abrasion resistance of the adhesive film are the best among all kinds of glazing, but the price is expensive. The paper processed by the adhesive film is not easy to be pulped and decomposed, and cannot be recycled for papermaking, which does not meet the requirements of environmental protection

(4) UV glazing: a rapid drying technology, which applies ester varnish with photosensitive substances to the polished object. After UV irradiation, the chain reaction of photopolymerization will occur instantly, forming a shiny and transparent surface. Its advantages are high gloss and good wear resistance, but its disadvantages are that UV light is toxic, irritating to human skin, eyes and respiratory system, expensive equipment, and it is not easy to recycle and decompose to make recycled paper

(5) aqueous glazing: water is the basic volume, styrene or acrylic is the solute, and weakly alkaline solvent is the surfactant. The liquid water-based polishing solution is in the form of lotion. After drying and hardening, it is a clear acrylic film. Its advantages are low price, non-toxic, and will not cause operator health. 70% of the cobalt production capacity is used in the field of battery damage, high gloss, good wear resistance, fast drying efficiency, easy pulping and decomposition to produce recycled paper, and will not pollute the environment! The glazing of fog surface includes: adhesive film bonding: PP bright surface, PP fog surface, rigid PVC, pet After the adhesive film is coated with adhesive, it is dried and pasted with the printed matter by hot pressing, and then treated with special potion to form a foggy surface effect

(II) comparison of various glazing characteristics table glazing types

characteristics and then placing the nano forest between the sticky and uncured composite layers brightness

bright oil

ordinary brightness, poor wear resistance

PVA

brightness is acceptable, poor wear resistance

UV

brightness is good, wear resistance is good

oily PP

(brightness and fog) brightness is good, wear resistance is good The solvent contains toluene

uvpp

(light and fog) with good brightness and wear resistance, followed by Lijia

water-based PP

(light and fog) with excellent brightness and wear resistance, followed by Lijia

water-based PP (PU glue)

with excellent brightness, wear resistance and bonding force, especially for long fiber paper
